RPG Difficulty Manager 1.7.3

RPG Difficulty Manager adds a configurable difficulty system to Eggy RPG 1.7.3, giving site administrators control over the challenge, rewards and defeat penalties used during solo RPG encounters.

The extension includes five built-in difficulty profiles:

• Very Easy
• Easy
• Normal
• Hard
• Very Hard

Each profile can be customised independently from the XenForo Admin CP.

Difficulty settings include:

• Enemy health scaling
• Enemy damage scaling
• XP reward scaling
• Gold reward scaling
• Class skill Mana-cost scaling
• Physical attack miss chance
• Class skill failure chance
• Mana consumed when a class skill fails
• XP-loss chance on defeat
• Amount of XP lost on defeat
• Optional character level loss
• Maximum levels that may be lost from a defeat

Player selectable or administrator controlled

Administrators can allow players to choose their own difficulty, or enforce one global difficulty across the RPG.

Difficulty settings are snapshotted when a solo encounter begins, ensuring that the rules for an active encounter remain consistent until the battle is complete.

Harder difficulty profiles can optionally apply genuine XP and character-level loss following defeat, while Level 1 characters are protected from being reduced any further.

• XenForo 2.3.12 or newer

RPG Difficulty Manager is an extension for Eggy RPG. It is not a standalone RPG add-on and requires Eggy RPG 1.7.3 to be installed and active.


Installation

Install through XenForo's normal Add-ons archive installer. No manual file editing is required.
