Overview:
- This add on gives the admin and the staff with the right permissions the ability to mark users as problematic and block them from performing various actions in the forum, such as starting new threads, posting in existing threads (own threads included), starting new direct messages and viewing other users profiles. This is a very handy tool imho that can be used as a last resort before banning someone outright or marking them as discouraged users.
- Admins and the other staff members with the permissions to use this will see a new link added to the Moderator tools drop down list called: Problematic users. There users can be marked as problematic.
- Users can be marked as problematic either indefinitely, or a for a certain amount of days after which they will be removed automatically from the Problematic users list and they won't be affected from the aforementioned restrictions.
- When marking an user as problematic a reason can be entered as to why that is. This is optional.
- A cron will run every day and it will remove all expired problematic users who were marked as such for a lengthy time only.
- Admins can edit and remove all problematic users. Whereas the users of other groups will be able to edit and remove only the problematic users that they have been adding themselves.
- Whenever someone marks an user as problematic, edits or deletes a problematic user it will be logged at the Moderator logs page in the admin panel.
