[N.O.V.A.] AutoDelete 2.1.2

Important brand announcement: DZMods is now N.O.V.A. Digital Studio

This release marks the transition from DZMods to our new N.O.V.A. Digital Studio identity. The add-on now uses the NOVA/AutoDelete ID and namespace, the universal N.O.V.A. add-on icon, and consistent N.O.V.A. branding.

Because the add-on identity has changed, this package is installed as NOVA/AutoDelete. Existing users should disable the former DZ/AutoDelete add-on before installing this version. The new edition can perform a one-time import of the configured legacy rules.

What is new in version 2.x

• Independent retention rules for individual forums or complete categories, including all descendant forums.
• A separate retention period for every rule.
• Soft delete, delayed permanent purge, immediate permanent delete, or move to an archive forum.
• Preview matching threads before running a rule.
• Filters for sticky threads and thread prefixes.
• Bounded, resumable background jobs and hourly automatic processing.
• Detailed action logs and dashboard statistics.
• Dedicated administrator permission and additional safeguards for permanent deletion.
• No XenForo core-file modifications.

New multilingual system

English, German, Croatian, Turkish, Russian and French are now bundled directly with the add-on. No separate phrase import is required.

The add-on can:
• Automatically follow the current XenForo language.
• Use a manually selected language independently of XenForo.
• Use a configured fallback when the current XenForo language is not bundled.

Improvements in 2.1.2

• Fixed translations on the dashboard, rule editor, preview and log pages.
• Manual language selection now works independently of XenForo's compiled template language.
• Corrected administrator links that could contain an encoded <action> segment.
• Existing retention rules, schedules and safety settings are not changed by this update.

Thank you to everyone who downloaded and tested the original DZMods release. N.O.V.A. Digital Studio will continue improving this free add-on and expanding its bundled languages in future updates.

This update introduces a safer deletion mechanism and a new status overview page.

Changes & Improvements

• Thread deletion is now processed in batches (50 threads per run)
• Prevents performance issues and server timeouts on large forums
• Deletion progress is tracked per forum to ensure continuity between runs
• Fully compatible with cron-based and manual execution

Technical notes

• Each run processes a limited number of threads
• Subsequent runs continue automatically from the last processed thread
