We have released a new version focused on stability and performance.
Important change that will affect every add-on:
All of our add-ons are now using Core Library in order to maintain shared helpers and utilities across add-ons for easier maintenance and to keep add-ons cleaner. Core Library also covers our branding for all add-ons in one switch without having to turn it off in every add-on.
This update will require Core Library 1.0.1.
Bug fixes:
- Fixed an issue where a live HLS (.m3u8) stream was treated as a fixed-length video. After a while the room believed the stream had ended, cleared the current media, and anyone who joined, refreshed or came back saw "No media playing". Live streams now stay loaded, and viewers join near the live edge.
- Fixed an Accessed unknown getter 'event_type' warning on the event edit form with XenCustomize Events Manager 2.3.14, which removed that field.
- Fixed an error when the news feed showed scheduled watch party entries.
- Deleting chat messages now also removes their reactions. Before, reactions stayed behind and kept counting toward members' reaction totals. This covers single deletes, clearing the chat, deleting a room and the message retention cleanup.
- Queue votes are now removed along with their queue item, whether the item is removed, pruned after playing, or deleted with its room.
Improvements
- Boards that share one Redis server and database no longer see each other's watch party data. Before, live events, presence and the live connection limit were shared between the boards.
- Old chat messages are now pruned in batches, so large boards no longer lock the message table during cleanup.
- Presence data for members who have left a long-running room is now cleaned up.
- Small performance improvements to the room polling request
