Lumix 1.0.0 — Frequently Asked Questions
What is Lumix?
Lumix is a premium XenForo 2.3+ style featuring a modern macOS-inspired interface, beautiful glass effects, rounded layouts, six selectable colour palettes and interactive features powered by Lumix Companion.
What makes Lumix different from other XenForo styles?
One of Lumix's standout features is its built-in real-time forum viewing system. Rather than offering appearance changes alone, Lumix also makes live community activity visible directly within the forum interface.
Combined with its glass-inspired design, customisable mobile navigation and colour palettes, Lumix offers both visual appeal and additional functionality.
How do real-time forum viewer counts work?
Lumix can display the number of visitors currently viewing individual forums.
These counts update dynamically as visitors enter and leave forum areas, helping members see where activity is happening across the community.
Do live viewer counts update without refreshing the page?
Yes!
This is one of Lumix's key features.
Viewer counts update automatically in real time without requiring members to refresh the page, creating a more interactive browsing experience.
Do I need another add-on for real-time viewer counts?
Lumix Companion 1.0.0 is required, but it is
included with your purchase at no additional cost.
You do not need to purchase a separate live forum viewing add-on.
Can I disable real-time forum viewer counts?
Yes. Administrators can enable or disable the feature through the dedicated Lumix Companion style properties.
What is Lumix Companion?
Lumix Companion is the accompanying XenForo add-on that powers Lumix's interactive features.
It provides:
- Real-time forum viewing counts.
- Colour palette selection.
- Live appearance previews.
- Saved appearance preferences.
- Customisable mobile navigation.
- Additional interface enhancements.
Is Lumix Companion included with the download?
Yes. Lumix Companion 1.0.0 is supplied alongside the Lumix style, together with installation instructions.
Can I use Lumix without installing Companion?
The style itself can be imported separately, but its interactive features require Lumix Companion.
We strongly recommend installing Companion to enjoy the complete Lumix experience.
How many colour palettes are available?
Lumix includes six light colour palettes:
- Lumix Classic
- Ocean Mist
- Rose Quartz
- Mint Aurora
- Lilac Dream
- Opal Aura
Each palette provides a different combination of backgrounds, accents and interface colours.
Can members select their own colour palette?
Yes.
When enabled by the administrator, members can select their preferred appearance using Lumix's built-in appearance selector.
Changes can be previewed directly on the forum before applying them.
Can administrators control which palettes are available?

Does Lumix support mobile devices?
Yes. Lumix is fully responsive and includes dedicated mobile interface refinements.
Its layouts, navigation, forum cards, member profiles and other components are designed to adapt to smaller screens.
What is the mobile navigation dock?
The optional mobile dock provides convenient access to commonly used community destinations from the bottom of the screen.
Administrators can configure navigation labels, Font Awesome icons and destination URLs through Lumix style properties.
An optional appearance shortcut also allows members to open the colour palette selector.
Can I disable the mobile navigation dock?
Yes. The dock can be enabled or disabled independently through Lumix Companion's style properties.
Does the mobile dock interfere with footer links?
The mobile interface includes footer clearance so important links, including Terms and Rules, Privacy Policy and copyright information, remain accessible.

Administrators can configure colour palettes, appearance selection, live forum counts and mobile navigation without manually editing extra.less.
