Yes! Eggy Live Alerts is completely free, with no subscriptions, licensing fees, premium features or hidden charges.

Eggy Live Alerts is designed for XenForo 2.3.0 and newer.
Q: How quickly will new notifications appear?
The default polling interval is 3 seconds. New alerts and conversations will normally appear within seconds, depending on your server response time and browser activity.
Q: Can I change the notification refresh interval?
Yes! Administrators can configure the polling interval anywhere between 3 and 180 seconds through the Admin Control Panel.
Q: Does Eggy Live Alerts require Node.js or WebSockets?
No. The add-on uses XenForo's existing PHP and AJAX infrastructure. No additional servers, background services or external gateways are required.
Q: Does it work with custom XenForo styles?
Eggy Live Alerts updates XenForo's existing notification counters rather than introducing a separate interface. This allows it to inherit your community's styling. Heavily customised notification systems may require additional compatibility testing.
Q: Will it refresh both alerts and private conversations?
Yes. Both notification types are supported, and administrators can enable or disable each independently.
Q: What is adaptive polling?
Adaptive polling automatically increases the time between checks when notification counts remain unchanged, reducing unnecessary server requests.
