FAQ​

What does Eggy Linked Accounts do?
It lets members link separate XenForo accounts they can access and switch between them without repeatedly signing out and back in.

Do linked accounts become one account?
No. Every linked account remains a separate XenForo user with its own profile, posts, alerts, permissions and identity.

Does the other account need to approve the link?
Yes. A link request must be approved while signed into the target account.

Can members switch between linked accounts?
Yes. Once accounts are linked, members can switch between them from the Linked Accounts area.

Can I choose a primary account?
Yes. One account in the linked group can be set as the primary account.

Can linked accounts be removed?
Yes. Other accounts can be removed from the linked account group.

What happens to pending requests?
Incoming requests can be accepted or rejected, outgoing requests can be cancelled, and requests expire after 7 days.

How many accounts can be linked together?
A linked account group can contain up to 20 accounts.


Is this only for roleplaying forums?
No. The original request came from a roleplaying community, but the add-on is designed as a general multi-account system.

Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The interface and switching flow have been tested on desktop and mobile.

Which XenForo versions are supported?
XenForo 2.3.0 and newer within the 2.3.x branch.

Is there a cost?
