What is Eggy Generator?
Eggy Generator is a native XenForo graphics and animation studio that allows members to create, customise, save and generate graphics directly inside your community.
Which XenForo versions are supported?
Eggy Generator requires
XenForo 2.3.12 or newer.
What PHP version is required?
PHP 8.2 or newer is required.
Is Imagick required?
Yes. The PHP
Imagick extension and ImageMagick with working PNG read/write support are required for production rendering.
Can members create animated graphics?
Yes. Eggy Generator supports animated designs and animated text effects. Animated output depends on the required ImageMagick capabilities being available on your server.
What types of graphics can be created?
Examples include forum signatures, animated signatures, thread headers, profile banners, announcements, promotional graphics, social graphics, product thumbnails, rank cards, achievement graphics, QR promotions and custom designs.
Does it include templates and presets?
Yes. Version 1.0.0 includes
120 factory presets, 32 templates, 40 canvas formats, 36 backgrounds, 32 textures, 72 symbols, 24 palettes, 16 typography recipes, 16 effect recipes and 16 Brand Kit starters.
Can users upload or use different fonts?
Eggy Generator includes an extensive typography collection and administrators can also manage licensed font assets for use inside the Studio.
Does it support text effects?
Yes. Typography can use options including fonts, sizing, alignment, colours, gradients, textures, shadows, outlines, positioning and additional effects.
What is the difference between Quick and Advanced mode?
Quick mode provides a simpler workflow for creating graphics quickly.
Advanced mode provides deeper layer management, positioning and specialist editing controls.
Can members save their projects?
Yes. Members can save projects through
My Designs and return later to continue editing or generate another version.
Is there a community Gallery?
Yes. Where enabled by the administrator, users can publish suitable designs to the community Gallery.
Can access be restricted by usergroup?
Yes. Eggy Generator integrates with XenForo permissions and usergroups so administrators can control who is allowed to use the Studio.
Can I use Eggy Generator as a premium membership feature?
Yes. Access can be restricted to selected usergroups, making Eggy Generator suitable as a benefit for VIP, supporter, subscriber or other premium memberships.
Does it support QR codes and barcodes?
Yes. QR codes and barcodes can be added as design elements alongside text, images, backgrounds and other layers.
Are QR codes available on every server?
QR generation requires the qrencode server binary and PHP proc_open access.
What image formats are supported?
Available formats depend on your ImageMagick installation. PNG is required. JPEG, WebP, AVIF and animated GIF output are available where the server supports those formats.
Does Eggy Generator simply capture the browser preview?
No. Selecting
Generate creates a production-rendered output on the server and provides the completed graphic for download.
Does it include server diagnostics?
Yes. The ACP includes a dedicated Diagnostics area for checking renderer capabilities, supported formats, fonts, storage and other important server requirements.
Does it include administrator controls?
Yes. Dedicated ACP areas cover functionality including diagnostics, statistics, fonts and assets, Brand Kits, templates, presets, factory content and renderer health.
Can the factory templates and presets be edited?
Factory content is kept protected and upgrade-safe. Editable custom copies can be created where appropriate.
What are Brand Kits?
Brand Kits allow administrators to create reusable combinations of colours, fonts, backgrounds and styling so members or staff can produce graphics that follow a consistent visual identity.
Does it work on mobile?
The Studio is designed to work within XenForo's responsive environment, although larger screens provide the best experience for complex editing and advanced workflows.
Does the purchase include updates?
Yes. The initial purchase includes
12 months of updates.
Can I continue using Eggy Generator after the update period expires?
Yes. The installed licensed version can continue to be used after the included update period expires; an active update period is required to receive newer releases.
Is there forced visible branding?
No forced Eggy Generator branding is added to the member-facing generated graphics.
Is Eggy Generator an external service?
No. Eggy Generator is a native XenForo add-on. Your members create and manage designs from inside your own community.

Support is available through the official Eggy support channels for licensed customers.
