AI Image Gallery 1.0.5 introduces expanded moderation tools, allowing administrators and authorised moderators to manage members' generated images directly from the Community Gallery.
This update provides greater control over publicly shared content, along with dedicated tools for reviewing removed and private images.
What's new?
- Community Gallery Moderation: Manage other members' images using a new moderation menu on each image.
- Image Visibility Management: Make publicly shared images private without deleting them from the owner's personal gallery.
- Restore Removed Images: Restore previously public images to the Community Gallery while retaining their original chronological position.
- Image Deletion: Delete images belonging to other members using dedicated moderation permissions.
- Private Image Moderation: A dedicated section allows authorised staff to review members' private images without exposing them publicly.
- ACP Generations Management: Additional administrative controls for managing generated images.
- Granular Permissions: Control which moderators can manage image visibility, delete images or review private generations.
How to configure moderation
After installing or upgrading to 1.0.5, navigate to:
Admin Control Panel → Groups & permissions → Moderator permissions
Configure the following new permissions for the appropriate moderators:
- Manage public visibility of other members' AI images: Allows moderators to remove public images and restore previously removed images.
- Delete other members' AI images: Allows moderators to delete images belonging to other members.
- View other members' private AI images: Grants access to the dedicated Private Images moderation section.
These permissions are disabled by default and must be explicitly granted to the moderators who require them.
How to use the new moderation tools
Community Gallery
Open the Community Gallery and locate an image you wish to moderate. Authorised moderators will see a three dot menu on the image card.
From this menu, you can make the image private or delete it.
Making an image private removes it from the Community Gallery while preserving it in the owner's personal gallery.
Removed Images
The new Removed Images section allows authorised moderators to review images previously removed from public view.
Images can be restored to the Community Gallery without changing their original publication order.
Private Images
Moderators granted the additional private image viewing permission can access the Private Images section to review members' private generations.
Private images can be deleted where the appropriate permissions are granted. However, moderators cannot publish images that members originally chose to keep private.
ACP Generations
Administrators can also manage generated images through the existing Generations section of the Admin Control Panel.
Compatibility
The moderation interface uses native XenForo styling for compatibility with light, dark and custom themes.
Existing generations, user galleries, image ownership and credit balances are preserved during the upgrade.
