Give your members something to play for. Your community creates and runs public or private tournaments in a few clicks, from a quick knockout cup to a season-long league, with brackets that look like the real thing. Registrations, matches, scores, winners, alerts and discussions are all handled for you, and your players can now climb a ranked Elo ladder too.
Perfect for gaming communities, sports forums, e-sports clubs and any community that loves a bit of competition.
What's new in 6.0.0
Elo rating system: give every player and team a skill rating that moves with their results. Group games into rating pools (for example one per game), tune how fast ratings move, and choose whether they update when a tournament ends or match by match. Ratings show on leaderboards, member profiles, participants lists and roster pages, plus a new "Top Elo" widget. It is optional and off by default, so existing sites are not affected.
New "Any vs any" mode: free-for-all matches with several players at once, ideal for racing, battle royale or party games. Enter results by finishing place or by score, award points from a table or enter them by hand, and watch the standings build up live.
Lighter and faster: the add-on no longer depends on jQuery. Brackets and round robin tables now run on plain modern JavaScript.
Clearer results: the winner's name is now shown in bold in standings and brackets.
Features
Tournament modes
Single elimination: one loss and you are out. Optional third place match.
Single elimination with consolation bracket: a second chance for the early losers.
Double elimination: the classic winners and losers brackets, with an optional third place match.
Round robin: everybody plays everybody, with a live standings table.
Round robin with 2-way matches: home and away legs for every pairing.
King of the Hill: challengers take on the current king, and the throne changes hands as results come in.
Any vs any: multi-player free-for-all matches with places, scores and a points table.
Manual winner: the organizer simply names the winner.
Registration and participants
Three registration types: solo (by member), free input (by typed name) or team (by roster).
Contestant limit: pick the maximum number of contestants. When the bracket is not full, byes are handled automatically.
Public or private: private tournaments are invite-only.
Usergroup restricted: limit registration to the usergroups you choose.
Invite or add players: fast username autocomplete.
Check-in: players confirm their participation before registration closes, so you only play with people who are really there.
Classes: split one tournament into classes such as age groups or car types, each with its own bracket in its own tab.
Brackets and matches
Automatic bracket generation: when registration ends, or as soon as the tournament is full.
Random or hand-picked matches: shuffle the draw with one click, or choose every match yourself.
Reset matches: someone dropped out? Unvalidate the matches and start again.
Easy score entry: double-click the score to type it in.
Looks great everywhere: responsive brackets with colors driven by style properties, so they match your style.
Results players can trust
Score submission by players: participants submit their result and can attach a screenshot as proof.
Automatic validation: when both sides submit the same result, it is validated for you.
Moderator approval: optionally route submissions through an approval queue.
Leaderboards and ratings
Leaderboard page: top users and rosters of all time, this month and last month.
Elo ladders: one ladder per rating pool, for players and for rosters.
Winners counted automatically: wins are tracked for members, rosters and clubs.
Organize and discover
Nested categories: choose the allowed registration types, modes and thread creation per category.
Powerful filters: by type, mode, username, open registration or free slots, and sort by last update, creation date, registration end or title.
Tournament icons: members can upload an image (permission based), with a trophy icon as the default.
Tabbed layout: tournament and bracket, rules, participants and discussion.
My tournaments: a page for the ones you created and another for the ones you took part in.
Discussion threads: created automatically per category, with posts for new tournaments, generated matches, resets and winners.
