What a little help from AI can achieve in photography

This is something I've just started dabbling with in my new CorelDraw graphics suite 2026 using AI.

Original an old Polaroid B/W photo of me when I was about 14 years old with my first dog.

AI corrected and colorized.

This was achieved with a few written instructions to balance the lighting and restore the missing parts that were whited out.

Doing a lot more with it now and getting more well versed in how to give instructions.

Happy days :)

That's very impressive, and a lot better than a lot of the AI-assisted reworks I've seen, where the faces change to the extent they look like different people.

AI can certainly take the ordinary and turn it into the extraordinary - especially in repairing damaged images. Amazing stuff. Love all the images you guys have shared (y)

One of my favorite prompts is "Blade Runner Motif" I'll post some results of that.

It’s pretty impressive how much difference a simple prompt can make. I especially like the “Blade Runner” and Kodachrome examples — makes me want to try some old photos just to see what it comes up with.
