Renew another member's license

I help run a forum with a couple other admins, one of whom has the license under his account. Recently we tried sharing account license privileges here at XenForo (he sent me an invite link, and I have a XenForo customer account now) but I do not currently see any license available in my customer portal. Is there something he needs to do on his end to make this show, or is this simply not possible currently?

We've been co-admins of this forum for 20+ years (well before XenForo was a thing) and would really like to share license renewal duties without having me buy a brand-new license for 3x the price, or having to PayPal him afterwards. It's also a concern that, if something were to happen to one of us, the other would still have access to the account.

I'm not well-versed in the ways of XenForo's customer accounts, so any insight here will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Can you point to where that is written? I'd appreciate a staff response, if possible.

It seems ludicrous that a forum, likely staffed by multiple administrators, requires a brand-new license be purchased if one of the old admins retires or passes away. If the original owner of the license is comfortable sharing responsibilities, XenForo should allow other admins of that site to purchase the renewal.

This sounds like a pure money-grubbing practice. That wouldn't surprise me, but I require that XenForo staff cop to that. If you're going to be a greedy capitalist, have the cojones to admit it.

This thread might be relevant to your situation.

That would require a license transfer and there are certain requirements for that to happen.

How is that money grabbing???? Only one person can be the main account. Again, as long as the main account holder trusts you then they can give you their login information to do what needs to be done. It's not that hard.

True. But generally we've set up auxiliary accounts for site related expenses under our own names and with our own information. We can trust one another without wishing to share certain things. ;) If XenForo customer accounts can be designed to accommodate a business instead of an individual, then let me know.

Just a little frustrated and surprised is all.
