I had similar problems on v1.5.9 , Nav Buttons simply stopped working. And that was on a clean install with only Velour added no extra addons. Yet no errors reported for templates being out dated. Removed 1.5.9 and reverted back to 1.5.8 clean install and all works fine again now.. Regards.

Go into your Admin CPanel > Options > Board Info > Remove the text in field that say's /forums Save and exit...
