Best Place to Sell a Forum?

I mentioned the two most popular in the initial post. I'm aware of sites like Flippa (I have hundreds of thousands of dollars in sales there and have sold forums there in the past). I have also sold on webmaster forums etc. I was looking for different options. Thanks. I'll check them out.

XF 2.0 Does XenForo 2.0 Handle Spam Registrations Better?

I tried every possible setting over the years. Every plugin, every possible anti-spam configuration. CleanTalk was one of the most effective, but isn't full proof. Maybe I need to revisit it all and try it all again, but last time I had an avalanche of spam getting through and moderation spam...

XF 2.0 Does XenForo 2.0 Handle Spam Registrations Better?

I followed all the guides before and it was a nightmare as so many spammers were filtering through and so many real registrations were being held. Also, I don't want to spend a huge amount of time every day manually checking things. Thanks Fillip. Will check them out.

XF 2.0 Does XenForo 2.0 Handle Spam Registrations Better?

I'm a big fan of XenForo and have been here for several years, having moved over from vBulletin which I had used for over ten years. I love the speed of Xenforo and love how it handles many things like design, however one of the biggest headaches I've had is spam registrations (I appreciate all...

Best Place to Sell a Forum?

I have sold hundreds of websites over the years, but I haven't sold a website in about 5 years. I've let some websites die and imported the content to another website before doing so, but I have also allowed many websites to just tick over. I have a couple of forums I want to sell. I had always...

XF 1.5 Zend_Mail_Protocol_Exception Error (Could Not Open Socket)

I've just about sorted this now. Here's a recap to help those who might run into the same problem. I looked into lots of issues, such as firewalls, DNS issues etc. Nothing seemed to arise. Turns out it was an issue with my email company. I was using countermail. I've use them for years and...

XF 1.5 Zend_Mail_Protocol_Exception Error (Could Not Open Socket)

Many thanks for getting back to me on this. That's good I can rule out Cloudflare. I moved domains to another service, but that was in October and this started happening way before that. All my DNS is routing through Cloudflare anyways so nothing actually changed when I moved registrars. I...

XF 1.5 Zend_Mail_Protocol_Exception Error (Could Not Open Socket)

My emails are not being sent from my forums. You can see the kind of error that is generated when an email is sent below. I've looked at many other threads on this issue, but there doesn't seem to be a concrete answer as to what is causing this. At the moment my guess is that it could be...

Thanks for pointing me to the right version :):):)

    [bd] Widget Framework

Widget Framework appears to be causing problems with PHP 7. I upgraded to PHP 7 today and all my Xenforo forums generated HTTP 500 errors. After reverting back to PHP 5.6 I was able to load my forums again. The error logs highlighted that widget framework was causing the problem. As it stands...

Thanks Bobby. I'll give that a try.

    CloudBleed HTTPS traffic leak

Thanks for the quick reply Bobby. I'm not an expert on SQL either (been a long time since I did it at uni). Anyone know how to tweak that code so that all passwords are reset. If I can do that, all I need to do is sent an email out to members explaining the issue afterwards.
