Best place to sell your established forum these days?

Where is the best place to promote the sale of your established forum? Due to a change in circumstances I'm looking to now sell my XF-powered community, which is about 10 years old and has around 30k users, but I cannot seem to see similar sites listed on the main marketplaces. Any advice?

XF 1.5 Where to run a VB -> XF import process?

Just as an update to the above, we retried the import having removed the / in the Club field name, but still only the Country Flags actually imported. Any ideas why this might be?

    Post Content Find / Replace

I have a number of large multi-line tables in several threads after an import, how would I go about removing or converting those? I've used Brogan's Table BBCode plugin here: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/cta-table-bb-code.2847/ with only a little success due to the tables being on...

XF 1.5 Where to run a VB -> XF import process?

Thanks, that was useful. We encountered an issue in our import where our vBulletin User Profile Fields didn't all get brought across correctly. We have two fields, one for team badges and one for countries, that are set up in the same way, but only the latter was brought across. The...

XF 1.5 Where to run a VB -> XF import process?

Hi all, we've taken your advice and have run an import which on the whole seems to have gone well. We were running a mentions plugin on vBulletin which hasn't carried across properly into Xenforo - see screenshot attached below. How would we convert this into the correct format for Xenforo? If...

XF 1.5 Where to run a VB -> XF import process?

Is there any way of us bringing across the settings we have on our current dev version into the new installation?

XF 1.5 Where to run a VB -> XF import process?

Thanks for that, we're slightly confused though - our development version is full of junk users and posts, will we need to manually wipe this junk content or does the importer do this?

XF 1.5 Where to run a VB -> XF import process?

We're currently running a development version of our new forum - is there any way of wiping the test data (posts, users, profile data) before running the import? The development version is on "new.domain.com" is there a search-and-replace feature for after the import for when this prefix is...

XF 1.5 Where to run a VB -> XF import process?

We're on vBulletin 4.2.x and here are the main stats: Threads 32,631 Posts 827,031 Members 33,921 We currently host our site on a VPS from 1&1, it's cheap and cheerful but seems to work well. It's a 2 vCores Intel® Xeon® Processors, 4 GB RAM. However I don't think it will have enough 'juice'...

XF 1.5 Reputation system and import

Hi, We have a forum running VBulletin 4.2 that has had a reputation system for several years. We want to convert the forum into XenForo, but aren't sure how we'd be able to bring the reputation system across as well as importing all the current reputation scores for users. Any ideas? Thanks

XF 1.5 Bulk import custom user field options

Hi, We're looking to migrate a forum from VBulletin 4.2 into Xenforo 1.5.5. The VBulletin forum has a large number of selectable custom profile badges. The 'Custom User Field' option seems to be perfect for this, but I wondered if it would be possible to bulk transfer the badge selections from...

XF 1.5 Creating a missing table again

Perfect - located that, thanks @Chris D We have 175 tables presently, the only 2 *not* starting with xf_ are archived_import_log and archived_import_log_phpbb So with the missing xf_search table, we would have 176 or 174 excluding those 2 above. Is that the right number?

XF 1.5 Creating a missing table again

Hi, we've had a roller coaster of a time with our site, I think due to merging two old forums (vB and phpBB) in to one. The bottom line is we encountered some major database issues, which have mainly be resolved now. The main 'fix' for this was to remove the xf_search.frm file from the database...

XF 1.4 Server went offline, now New Posts doesn't work

I don't believe we have any add-ons. In terms of the MySQL repair, it was just the standard one we did with phpMyAdmin to see if the site would come back up - it did apart from search. To be it would seem a MySQL issue rather than a file issue - the server outage wouldn't have had the ability...
