I was able to solve my issue with these two add-ons:
https://xenforo.com/community/resources/remove-show-ignored-content.9943/
and
https://xenforo.com/community/resources/force-ignore.9944/
How this isn't core XF functionality at this point is beyond me.
Why on Earth an add-on like this doesn't already exist is beyond me.
The "ignore" feature on the forum is archaic and outdated. In this brave new world we find ourselves in, people have become ever so sensitive and childish. No longer can people simply just ignore what someone else said, they...
I agree with you on this.
It's a useless, unnecessary, and confusing feature.
It caused me panic when it was first brought to my attention. I'm sure it won't be long before someone develops an add-on to remove it.
Forgive me for being obtuse, I guess I'm just missing something here.
I read the bug report thread you linked to and that sounds exactly like what I'm talking about in my original post.
However, I've come to understand that the DM search results on one's profile can only be seen by the logged...
Thanks, now I understand. I was highly concerned there for a moment that all DMs would be made visible to the public.
I don't think it's a bug, @CedricV explained it above, no?
Glad to hear that. Google Adsense is a joke in all reality. I'm glad I finally got rid of them.
My current ad provider (Datablocks) is paying me 10 times (literally) what I was making with Adsense.
I'm trying to figure out why it is if I click on a member's profile, go to the "postings" tab, and then scroll through all their posts, it also shows results for things they've said in direct messages (conversations):
I don't think it's add-on related as I don't have any add-ons that affect...
Did you take over this add-on?
If so, this is awesome news. I really enjoyed this add-on. I had a dedicated "Ask ChatGPT forum" where people who wanted to could interact with ChatGPT. Guess I need to go check out your add-ons now.
I agree. Here I am paying $500 a month or so for a dedicated server and the guys who are "managing" it are seldom ever to be found. They respond slow (likely because they are on India time) and the customer support went from once good to suddenly ****ty.
I'm so damn sick of these hosting companies.
Anytime I find a good one (in this case it was Liquid Web) they eventually outsource the entire customer service department to India. Happens every single time.
I need a hosting company that is U.S. based, small enough that when I call or email I...
