XF 2.3 Make registration page smaller

Sounds like it might has to do with your display resolution and/or zoom. Here in 1920x1080, 100%: Now a little narrower to trigger the responsive version: If I zoom in, in 1920x1080, I get this, which is fine. As you'll see, the scroll bars are there on the right side. I suggest you...

XF 2.3 Optimizing attachments leads to Oops! We ran into some problems

Okay, it was the PHP configuration and upload max size limits, max memory, etc. My hosting provider increased them all to higher values, it did the trick. Thank man! :)

    Fixed Notifications delay

I noticed this as well, earlier today. On 2 boards I'm an admin on and also on here. For example: You're on the forum's home page. Someone likes one of your posts. You won't get the alert, unless you refresh the page, or navigate to another page.

XF 2.3 Optimizing attachments leads to Oops! We ran into some problems

@Chris D My hosting provider is still investigating the issue. In the meantime, I deleted the 1.5MB GIF that I spotted earlier. Then I ran the optimization job again, and it was able to process more images. Then I got the error again. I was able to locate the next image it was supposed to...

XF 2.3 Optimizing attachments leads to Oops! We ran into some problems

Good idea. I modified my nameservers so that CloudFlare is no longer in the equation. Still the same behavior. Here's the Chrome console: I'm not sure what to do next. Do you think my hosting provider's support may be able to spot something in the server logs, on their side?

XF 2.3 Optimizing attachments leads to Oops! We ran into some problems

Hi @Chris D , thanks for the reply! :) It's not much, but here's what I could find in the Chrome console. Also, I went ahead and found the attachment at which it stopped processing. It's a 1.6MB GIF... Here it is. I'll continue searching. Thanks!

XF 2.3 Optimizing attachments leads to Oops! We ran into some problems

Hi, I enabled WebP support in the board's options and it works fine. Then I went to the Rebuild Caches page in the adminCP and attempted to optimize the attachments. It ran for a little while, then Oops, error. If I run it again, it fails right away with the same Oops error. I have to assume...

12 Years of Forums. What have you learned?

I've been using forums for 20 years, been an admin for 15. Moderating is without a doubt the hardest part of being an admin. I never expected that. Emotions are tricky and will distort your point of view. It's hard to make decisions that are fair to everyone. I like Wheaton's Law. It's an...

    Off-Topic Section = Good?

I believe it's a must-have. It's a great spot for your members to engage about their interests and things they love, outside your forum's scope.
