I upgraded to 2.12 last night, and have somehow lost my reaction icons.
Looked like this before:
And now it looks like this:
Any ideas? I did a manual upgrade where I replaced the files.
OK, it's adding the watermark to items added to the Media Gallery, but that's not what I wanted. I was looking for something that would add watermarks to every image that was uploaded to the site on normal threads.
I don't want a "Media Gallery" on the site at all.
Just checked, and it's definately not working for general members either. I don't see the watermark, or the ability to add a watermark to the image I'm uploading as a member.
I'll start looking into permissions for general members.
Sorry, I wasn't clear.
I've added the watermark in settings, but when I tested it, it didn't appear to be working. I'll use my "test-member" account and try again.
Thanks for the note.
I should have asked this before I bought the add-on. I can't find a way to add a watermark, or the ability for a member to choose to have a photo watermarked, for images added to posts. Is this possible?
Thank you! That's high praise. I'm not done making tweaks yet, as I have an idea in my head and won't sleep until it's perfect.
Still getting used to everything. I should be done with the changes I want to make in another week or two.
I had a development server in the middle, so it was cleaner for us to do it this way. I had 5 different people working on the server setup, design, WordPress, and everything else. I knew I was adding an unnecessary step, but this was the way that we had to do it.
Thanks! I started with the...
As a quick follow-up, here's the process I used.
Set up 2 new servers (I was moving to AWS for the new site, so this was easy.)
Get existing SMF to the latest version possible
Install XF 1.5 on Server 1
Install XF 2.1 on Server 2
Import SMF site data to Server 1 (This took about 16h for my...
I was in the same boat. What worked for me was to update SMF to the latest edition possible. Then migrate to XF 1.5, then update that to 2.1, then import the content into a production fresh install of 2.1. IT takes two separate servers to do it, but it worked flawlessly for me.
Just a post for those of you thinking about migrating from SMF.
I started with SMF back when it was called "YABB" many many years ago. I'd stuck with the software and built several very successful (10,000+ member) forums with SMF over the years.
A few months ago, when it was time to do a major...
