IB should be embarrassed to admit they have all of these supposed planned features and not ONE has made it into 4.x in the last year and a half. What they've given us is basically bug fixes and recently a mobile skin which is something we should have had 2 years ago.

Add links to your Facebook and Twitter accounts in the e-mail people receive after they've registered (not sure anyone reads that but it couldn't hurt) and/or welcome pm's.

Where do I edit the text for the welcome e-mail? Preferably the one people receive after they confirm their account. I can't seem to find it. Just want to add links to our Facebook/Twitter pages. :)

The other problem with a blog, here, is that people would then start begging for them to release the blog. :p

Auto-posting is bad IMO. It spams people's walls. And if people really want to see all of that stuff they'll come to your site. On my "big board" I just pick 2-3 threads per day that I find interesting and post links to them (with a little comment) encouraging people to discuss.

I could go either way on this. But... I do think XF would do well to look at the top 3-5 complaints voiced by users of other software and work hard to address those. Offer something users of competing software are literally begging for and not getting. One of those complaints (with vBulletin...
