I don't usually have a lot of moderators. I personally have a hard time trusting people so I find it difficult to find good moderators. Though I usually do about 1 mod per 200 members. That's just my personal preference though.

I think it depends on what you hope to accomplish. IF you start from scratch you will be able to show a clean brand new forum but you will have to install new add-on's that you do need instead of getting rid of ones that you don't need. It's really up to you and if you wish to start over.

Honestly I still use Notepad ++ to design websites. I find it more fun to be so much more hands on. Plus it keeps my skills fresh and up to date.
