Yes. I just feel that that's OUR responsibility to make sure the user has opted in - not really Xenforo's place to try to force it.

Well, it'd be a whole lot easier if we could simply export the addresses out of Xenforo. So, they literally give no way to do that?

I need to export member email addresses to email them in MailChimp where I can properly format and track the emails exactly as we wish. But I don't see any function to allow site owners to even export the email addresses. What's up with that?

No it wouldn't. They can just get space on Amazon or Google cloud. And they wouldn't incur a dime in expenses until they had paying customers using it. They wouldn't have to invest in any new facilities or any new employees. Or if so, perhaps one new employee to handle the cloud deployments...

Thanks for posting your solution @tourmeister! I was just having the exact same problem! I too figured it would just default to whatever the server time was. And weird though that for registered members it picks up the right time automatically but for me as the admin it didn't.
