Thank you very much. Uploading the original files would not have worked in this situation, as that file is intended to be edited (as far as I understand). However running Allowed me to create / export a new hashes.json that fixed the problem.

I've been using firefox developer edition, and overall I like it alot, but this time it let me down.

Well, we can close this one out. It appears to be on my side. Firefox is desperate to redirect me to the upgrade system (broken) But trying this in Chrome allows me to login and view the forum normally.

I can manually enter a thread url and visit that thread. Only when going to the main page of my forum do I get redirected to the upgrade process. as I mentioned before, this only seems to affect my admin account.

Thank you, I've been able to create a page and throw some html into it - that is pretty straight forward. From what I understand, it isn't possible to display straight php in a page node. I'll have to poke around more to figure out how to do that.
