Yes, renewing is quick and easy and seconds later 2.3 can be downloaded, so where do you see a problem? Waiting until it's released also has the added benefit that it will maximise the support period for 2.3 and its point updates.

Yeah, they're pretty important, especially for the security updates, even if there are no outward differences.

Well, distance would affect it. I do notice a lag on American sites for example and Australian ones are the most affected.

So friggin' typical. Looking forward to the new editor. Incidentally, Yahoo had quite a few bugs in it and outages, but got taken over a few years ago, yet again, and it's been rock solid ever since. Sometimes things do improve with new ownership, but it seems to be the minority.
