tbh this is the first time I've seen a persistent error with it in Firefox ever since I started using it in 2021. It's probably some confluence of different software and versions running on the PC, not just FF and XF interacting. Heck, it might even be an FF add-on being difficult in some way...

It might indeed be a cache issue. Before faffing around with potential fixes, I wanted to know if others are seeing this, but it looks like they're not. I'll try clearing the cache when I get a moment.

Lately, before 2.3.10, but still happening, the community page often doesn't load properly, showing just the bit below with no forum underneath it. I then have to refresh the page for it to appear. Any idea why this is happening? I've not noticed this on my forum and websites in general load ok...

That XF uses a different hashing method is irrelevant. You're simply comparing two files so could use any hashing method to check if they're the same or not. That they're different is your clue as to what's going on and need to concentrate on why it's being changed. Perhaps open a support ticket...

Will avif be supported at some point? Would be nice to embed these in a post without converting first.

Now do an MD5 to check that they're the same.

You can check if the file is being changed by doing a checksum on the original from the setup files and once XF has reported unexpected contents. Before you faff around with that though, check the file sizes: if they're different then the files are different for sure and no need for a checksum...

:p I see ford8's replied, but here's my take on it. It's all cloud hosting, because you're always using someone else's internet connected servers. In the case of Bluehost, you just get a server that you can install stuff on and generally play about with, to various levels of incompetence...
