I haven't touched my XF Forums in a while, and in the process forgot the password I used to log in (Since I always use the steam login). I can't use the password reset because the account I used to send those through has expired. Is there a command I can run in sql to change the email server...

It should work just fine, but I haven't given it a lot of testing. What version of XF are you using? I haven't done any testing with 1.5 or up, so perhaps theres an underlying issue there.

Did you adjust the permissions for the shoutbox properly?

Well I figured it out! I forgot to turn on the global hook option. Once I enabled that everything start showing up just fine :)

Got it to work! Not sure really what was the problem. All I did was change the RewriteBase (which was already at '/') to '/var/forums' and then back again. Maybe it just took a while for the AllowOverride to update?

I got the shoutbox to work in it's own tab, but it doesn't show up in the sidebar. I added the include to the forum_list template and it still won't work.

I tried enabling it (I'm running Debian, and I've been told I need to edit the file located at /etc/apache2/sites-available/default. Here's the a snippet I grabbed of my quick edit that should have allowed it It appears to work on the home page, but as soon as I click on any forum links this...

The .htaccess is there, I've tried uncommenting it and changing the location to '/', '/var/forums', and '/forums' but without any success. I just installed mod_rewrite on the server before this, so it's not a lack of that.

It was on both, but I got it fixed. I forgot to change the permissions for registered users :P

I can't seem to get the friendly URL to work. Once I enable it the index.php is no longer added to the home page URL but I get an error 404 page when I click on anything else.

For some reason the status block isn't showing up anywhere. I have it enabled in the options, anyone have any clue why?
