Following up from this, can I make text bold and add hyperlinks to text in the message compose box in the back end??

Sorry, I have done this before by can't quite remember how to do it. If I want to send a message to all users and bring in their name or username eg Dear Username whats the code for it please? Something like <<name>> I guess.

Can I use HTML when sending a message to all users? I can use {name} but <b>Hi</b> doesn't work.

I've noticed that when someone posts on an old thread, the new posts link take you back to the OP of that thread rather than the latest post since you visited that thread. Firstly, is that correct and if so what is the time in months maybe does that kick in? Thanks
