Hi, Did your authors have accounts on Wordpress before you started using the plugin, or have they registered (on XenForo) since then? If they have, you'll need to firstly create new accounts for them in Wordpress itself and then you will need to map the author IDs for all the posts to the new...

Although you could in theory use template conditionals to only remove the canonical links on, for example, threads in a certain forum id. This may be closer to what you want.

They'll still be in the users table, but they wouldn't be usable. This is for exactly the same reason that lph mentioned, passwords in XenForo are hashed and so we cannot (and should not try to) reverse that procedure (or, say, capture the password in plaintext at login) in order to convert them...

It's worth noting that this is already available as an experimental feature within the plugin. There's a checkbox on the settings page to enable it, it just comes with a warning to only use it if you know what you're doing as it can really screw with your wp_user table (i.e. take careful backups...

As far as I'm aware, everyone who has contacted me about 3.5 now has it working. Did you even try to contact me? If you did and you are not happy with the resolution then I apologise. I have not released an official update yet because there are so many different ways people are using...

Based on what Peter sent me by email I don't think he has the latest version of the bridge installed, so we'll hopefully resolve that once he gets back to me =) Should make things smoother.

It's something I've considered before, but it would make more sense doing it when/if XF adds support for threaded conversations (as VB has). I don't know how the plugin you linked works, but it may be an option

Sorry, you are correct that XenScripts was down for a day - I had to perform some server maintenance. It is possible to do what you're asking, but I'm not sure it's a normal application (most XF installations wouldn't record a first/last name). If you're proficient with PHP / have a site...

Technically, my plugin is mostly a Wordpress plugin - it just takes the data from XenForo. I still honestly am not sure why it matters which way the data flows, either way there is the possibility you might have to import some data before installing my product.

Hey Chris, Thanks for the interest. My version will take some author information from XF and display it in WP - it depends on what exactly you need in the "about the author" section? However I've seen some sites use my plugin + an about the author section effectively. For your second...
