@ozzy47 - I'd not read that, only saw your reply. (You'll have to excuse me, I've had a Christmas tipple).
I'll go to the developer, and just hope that the delete has been done properly and not a hash job.
I don't know. Does Xenforo standards automatically delete attachments in posts? This is the point I am getting at. IF it does, then I will speak to the developer and see what the add on does.
But if Xenforo doesn't do it as standard, then there is no point asking the author!?
The add on just deletes posts. I want to know if it's built into Xenforo to remove attachment files when a post is deleted or not.
The mention of the add-on was just to point out that I've implemented something to remove the old crap that we don't need any more. Unless Xenforo does it as...
Hi all. I'm having an issue with server space at the moment and looking at clearing out some of my files.
I have installed an auto delete feature that removes old posts in chat sections that have not been commented on for a year. My question is, if anyone added an attachment in any of those...
Just asked on the Google webmaster forum about this, and was given an example of "Flexible Sampling" which should cover me from accusations of "cloaking"...
Anyone have any experience of this or how I could implement it?
Okay, so even though the information is still there, and available to anyone who registers, that's still classed as "cloaking"?
I read from that, that the cloaking refers to sending different information to search engines and human users, which in reality I am not doing as that information is...
At the moment my forum is public. Everyone can see everything.
I am looking to restrict access to my forum in the below manor:
Guests - see nothing
Registered - see something
@10+ posts - see most of everything
Paid - see everything
What I do NOT want is for this to affect Google Bots etc...
I have just made a test thread with an internal and an external link contained within.
The internal link opens in the same tab (as I would expect it to). The external link opens in a new tab (as I would expect it to).
So it appears that my only issue is with links added to the Nav bar?
EDIT...
I have external links that open in the same tab. For example, I have added additional tabs along the Nav Bar on my forum. The tabs are for other sites I have within our club (a shop, a wiki, a magazine etc). These are all "internal" for the club, not NOT internal for Xenforo.
I also have links...
Nope. Some links in my forum open in a new tab, others open in the existing tab. In Xen 1 there was an add on I installed that meant all links (both internal and external) opened in a new tab in the browser. But that add on is not yet available, and I assumed it would be an option within the...
Hi Guys,
Whilst I was using Xenforo 1, there was an add on that enabled me to have all links opening as a new tab, which prevented users navigating away from the forum when clicking on a link. Is there anything like this built into Xenforo 2? I've searched the settings and stuff, so unless I'm...
Thanks @Mike - I tried it in IE after Chrome and some of them displayed as outlines (rather than proper Emoji's), so must just be PC browsers not keeping up with the Jones'. Thanks for your help.
Hi, i followed these instructions but ran the script using a CRON job rather than a command prompt.
Emojis are now working when I view the forum using my phone, but they are not displaying when using laptop web browser (Chrome). Any ideas?
