Greetings,
Following some recent backend errors on my forum, members have been (expectedly) seeing the following page quite often:
Our site has a maintenance page to display in times like this. Is there a way the site could be configured to default to that page instead of this very dull error...
@Jaxel one of my users who registered using Google OAuth attempted to link their account, but couldn't continue because they were prompted to enter their forum password (which they didn't have since they were using Google to log in). Is there a fix to this?
Yikes, seems much more complicated than I initially thought
How could the board differentiate in user upgrades between who’s in a EU country to send a checkout page w/VAT added versus not doing so?
This is the basic structure of what we're doing:
Sell ranks for charity > collect into forum PayPal > Once reached threshold, send to charity (possibly through PayPal)
Each time it shifts from one PayPal account to another, the fee is deducted.
I suppose we could transfer it as a check, though...
Well, again, the charity will still have to process fees when we send the full amount raised from our forum. In that sense, we're paying two sets of fees on the same donation :cautious:
Even for donations to legally recognized non-profits? I find it somewhat off to brand such transactions as "Goods and Services"
Just to clarify: the non-profit will still have to pay fees on it as the final amount will be transferred from my site to their account. As such, I don't see...
