I forgot to mention earlier. There are four new permissions that control the new thumbnail stuff:

Setting a thumbnail for your own media/album.
Setting a thumbnail for any media/album.

There's been a lot of feedback recently about the changes to the category navigation introduced in Xen Media Gallery 2.0.

Hi,

I purchased this addon yestrerday and it's fantastic, I did however run into the issue of it not uploading when flash player was enabled.
After a bit of googling I found a thread which said to disable it and it worked.

Only downside is now I can't upload multiple files.
I just wanted to post and ask is there a fix for the flash uploader which I can implement? I'd really like to have this feature re-enabled again.

There are currently no known issues with Flash uploading and it works fine in the current version.

If you PM me at http://xenmediagallery.com with your site's URL, and with the flash uploader enabled I will look into it.

Sitemap functionality has been added to XMG 2.1.

To use it, you will be required to install the Sitemap for XenForo add-on by @Rigel Kentaurus.

If enabled, the following options tab appears in Gallery Options:



All of these are enabled by default. Sitemap specific options such as pinging search engines upon completion etc. are available within the Sitemap add-on.

Most pages have a lot of images. Avatars, style graphics, logos. An Image Sitemap (which as far as I can tell is a function exclusive to Google) allows us to tell Google what images on a page are important.

In the Gallery, of course, the most important images are those that appear on media pages. The full size image, e.g. the cat on this page: http://xenmediagallery.com/media/cat.1007/.

Image Sitemaps are a sort of extension to the existing Sitemap.

For example, if this is an existing Sitemap entry:

And that has been added to XMG 2.1 in addition to the Sitemap I mentioned yesterday. That functionality is thanks to @Rigel Kentaurus for making some of my suggested changes so that developers can add image data to sitemaps using his add-on.

RSS has been implemented in XMG 2.1.

There is a global feed:

A feed for each category:

A feed for each album:
http://xenmediagallery.com/media/albums/memes-and-reactions.84/index.rss

And a feed for each user:
http://xenmediagallery.com/media/users/chris-d.1/index.rss

There is a clear indicator on each page that there is a feed available (Link to RSS Feed on the right):

You could try this add-on, which also supports SoundCloud

If you don't want all of the extra BB Codes, then use the configurator interface as detailed in the description. I use this to add only the 5 BB Codes that I want (though I've not tried SoundCloud).
