    When reading a quoted a message, one often wants to go and read the original message in order to get the context of the posts around it.

    XenForo enhances this functionality by detecting whether or not the quoted message is on the same page as the one you are viewing, and animating a move from the quote to the original message, so you get an idea of how many messages are inbetween the two and other visual cues.

    You can see it in action here:

    Click the little up arrow on that post, after 'Kier Said' to see the effect.

    Wow! I really should go to work but I'm worried I might miss something :D

    That's a very nice touch.

    There's so many little things it will take forever to make videos for all of them haha.

    I'm not quite understanding? I can see it scrolling to the quoted post, but the how do I get back to the original I was viewing?

    Yeah - it's a shame isn't it ==> IB's loss.
  16. Dean XenMod

    Well, yes, that would be the way. Posts can get massively long though, with many inline pictures, and sometimes extremely large sigs, in addition some posts with much text. It could take some time to get back. In vb, a simple Alt-left arrow will get back.

    I believe the question was about getting back to the post you where you clicked a quote if it's not the last post for example.
