[Add More Video Sites] BB Code Media

Desperately seeking an option for this too as I have a DJ site that uses Pod-O-Matic heavily. What is the actual source file the parses the {$id} ? Maybe I can hack to accept {$idx} ?? Should we request this as a feature or has it already been requested?

Is it possible to use PCRE to create a match url for this? http://diversifiedsound.podomatic.com/entry/2011-12-01T16_15_09-08_00. The ID of the track is the easy part, but is there a way to do the same for the userName bolded below?

Code:
#http://[B]diversifiedsound[/B]\.podomatic\.com/entry/(?P<id>[\-a-z0-9_]+)$#siU

This is the embed HTML:

HTML:
<object width='100%' height='85'>
<param name='movie' value='http://diversifiedsound.podomatic.com/swf/joeplayer_v18c.swf'></param>
<param name='flashvars' value='minicast=false&jsonLocation=http%3A%2F%2Fdiversifiedsound.podomatic.com%2Fentry%2Fembed_params%2F{$id}%26color%3D43bee7%26autoPlay%3Dfalse%26width%3D100%%26height%3D85'></param>
<param name='allowFullScreen' value='true'></param><param name='allowscriptaccess' value='always'></param><embed src='http://diversifiedsound.podomatic.com/swf/joeplayer_v18c.swf' flashvars='minicast=false&jsonLocation=http%3A%2F%2Fdiversifiedsound.podomatic.com%2Fentry%2Fembed_params%2F{$id}%26color%3D43bee7%26autoPlay%3Dfalse%26width%3D100%%26height%3D85' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' allowscriptaccess='always' allowfullscreen='true' width='100%' height='85'></embed>
</object>

If you want to enter it manually do this....

Tried this, but nothing happens except for the spinning loading icon--the video never loads. :( I don't have MySQL access to execute that query either.

my bad I was so tired last night i fell asleep shortly after posting this....and now realize that I pasted the other media site's embed code in there ...sorry

Not a problem--that worked. :) Thanks a lot!

No problem. Lemme know if you find any problems with the video one (media site for episodes clips and series) as well if yah could.

edit: nevermind....AH-DUH!

use this in the embed html for mtv programming
Code:
<embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:videolist:mtv.com:{$id}/cp~instance%3Dfullepisode%26autoPlay%3Dfalse%26id%3D{$id}%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideolist%3Amtv.com%3A{$id}" width="512" height="288" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed>

Again my bad...I was so tired...I switched up a bunch of the fields for the media sites. They all should be correct now. Thanks for spotting that now Kurt.

Hmm; still getting that error--I'll check it out later this weekend. If it works for you, though, it's probably just an error on my part. :P

I'll be back in my seat here in a short while, I will review what I posted again....at this point there is a strong possibility that I should have waited until after I woke up to post that definition.:p

can someone take a look at this and let me know why it's not working for twitpic?

can someone take a look at this and let me know why it's not working for twitpic?
For example. Link http://twitpic.com/7s4ala. It's preview with embed code for any site:
Code:
<a href="http://twitpic.com/7s4ala" title="手乗り。 on Twitpic"><img src="http://twitpic.com/show/thumb/7s4ala.jpg" width="150" height="150" alt="手乗り。 on Twitpic"></a>
Word thumb, but not full in image tag.
Full picture is show in http://twitpic.com/7s4ala/full. And image tag is:
Code:
<img alt="手乗り。" src="http://d3j5vwomefv46c.cloudfront.net/photos/full/470492830.jpg?Expires=1323657878&amp;Key-Pair-Id=APKAIYVGSUJFNRFZBBTA&amp;Signature=RonmjivpcAtdy~MAp24C8JLzbYn2m32ytXMz9UW5v-CpQyVTplRVyDtMUNJxUU7c0RuX6~PeDREtzb~46uC2YMjD95G5devBtcIliz6Qgl1Cv~i511iKqfn296LXCrk2fDT62hnH2aETvmH7C8ZS4Em6hnas2NQNTvRwXF7DbBk_">
Anything the general from a preview as we see. So the unique variant is to use only a preview. The full picture will not manage to be interposed on the forum including because of a temporary link. The link is not static.

i understood most of what you are saying. in short, twitpic won't work because the URLs are actually preview URLs and the full URLs not static.

Hm. Preview is not working too.

Then I do not understand, what for they made "Put this photo on your website" if it all the same does not work. The preview at them uses actually the same not static reference. Therefore to use the given resource it does not turn out basically. I regret that could not help you.

No the amazon URL rewriter works great. Anytime someone posts an amazon link it adds my affiliate ID so I get a sale if they buy something. However it is just a LINK... not an embedded image with info, which is what this add on does for other sites, but NOT for amazon. That is what I was getting at. This would enable you to monetize your site without your users even knowing it.

I don't think there's any way to set this up through a default install and have it tagged to your amazon affiliate ID. However, you can customize this yourself and have it auto-embed the amazon image and text link when someone posts a product link from amazon.

Here's what I did, and tested using front page and deep links in the amazon site. After posting I copied the link location from the generated amazon "text and image" link, pasted into the amazon link check tool and was given the results...
"Success: The link tags to a valid tag or sub-tag for your Associate ID."

Site URL:
Code:
http://www.amazon.com

Match URL:
Code:
amazon.com/*/*/{$id}/

Embed HTML for example only!

Embed HTML:
Rich (BB code):
<iframe src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?lt1=_blank&bc1=
000000&IS2=1&bg1=FFFFFF&fc1=000000&lc1=078317&t=YOUR-TAG-ID
&o=1&p=8&l=as1&m=amazon&f=ifr&ref=tf_til&asins={$id}" style="width:120px;
height:240px;" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0">
</iframe>

To get the embed HTML for your affiliate ID go into the amazon affiliate site, select the product link tab, click the get link button below ANY image, and then copy the embed HTML listed there. You can customize the link there before grabbing the code if you don't want to use the default setup.

After that make sure you you add in the {$id} after asins= in the HTML embed code.

This works and the link checker said it is all good

Of course I can't check this one out....
