Xenforo Database vs vB database?

Hi,
How different is the Xenforo database from the vB database?

I'm asking since I've had problems with my vB database since migrating to vB hosting and then back to self hosted and am wondering if there's enough difference to that these bugs might self correct if I convert from vB to Xenforo. The DB has not been the same since I left vB's hosting and they've been of very little help.

You'd need to do an import of the old data into a fresh XF install. Assuming that all worked, you shouldn't have any issues.

This is also assuming there's not an underlying hardware/software issue. If that's the case you probably won't have any luck with XF either.

Also, if there's a corrupt table in the database, the import may not work either. You'd just have to try it to be sure.

All that said, if it were me I'd probably try to figure out what the problem was before spending the money on am XF license. If you already have one, though, I'd just run the import on a test installation and see what happens.

Xenforo is better than what vB is.
