Your new SSE mode in [XB] Alerts Auto Refresh looks interesting. Does it use a long-lived PHP/XenForo endpoint directly, or does it require any external process/service such as Redis or a separate SSE server?

Also, have you tested the SSE mode on XenForo Cloud?

No Redis or external service
it falls back to AJAX polling if SSE fails

Also, have you tested the SSE mode on XenForo Cloud?

No
However, there are no known compatibility issues

Currently, the tabs aren't synchronized. Each one operates independently. I'll add synchronization with a leading tab in the next version.

Improved handling of multiple open tabs: only one tab now checks for updates and shares new counts with all other tabs, greatly reducing server load. Tabs check independently when browser storage is unavailable or too full to share counter updates.
