XF 2.2 Widget: latest post

Would anyone be able to tell what it is thecriteria for "latest post" widget ? Is there a cut-off amount of time that determines what it is "latest"?

Search around but can't seem to find any information on how XF define "latest" in the lastest post.

The threads are ordered by most recent reply date. The criteria are that the thread is in a forum which is not excluded from new posts, is not unapproved or soft-deleted, is not a redirect, and that the last reply is within the read marking data lifetime option (30 days by default). Threads which the visitor cannot view or is ignoring are also filtered out.
