Why does Xenforo's home page not use Xenforo?

I'm curious why Xenforo.com's "Customer account" is separate from the "Community Account".

One of the big reasons that I bought Xenforo is because I want to use the "nodes" to run my seperate pages, which require authentication. I wanted to use Xenforo's authentication and run an entire site (Forum + other authenticated pages) on Xenforo.

It surprises me that Xenforo.com doesn't appear to be setup that way. Why not?

The customer sections of the site use the same underlying code but they're not really suitable for forum functionality.
