Funny you picked those features to highlight Jo !!

I remember about 35 years ago, in those days we were all hip cat hippies, well we went to this apartment and met up with this artist and he was finishing a pencil sketch of Robert Plant that was phenomenal, this was in the early days of Led Zeppelin when he was white hot, let's say 1976 or so.

The moral of the story is, doing drawings or paintings of popular artists can provide an open door for the creator (artist or photographer) if the work is great, because others take notice a lot more when you do celebrity stuff.

There we have the creation of a common ground for others to immediately associate themselves with a piece, but the real challenge for the artist is to create something new, something never seen before and to have the viewer drawn into the piece just as fully, now that's creativity to my senses, just wish I could do as much myself, my art sucks.
