Where on earth do I find a hosting company that is small and hosted entirely in the US?

I'm so damn sick of these hosting companies.

Anytime I find a good one (in this case it was Liquid Web) they eventually outsource the entire customer service department to India. Happens every single time.

I need a hosting company that is U.S. based, small enough that when I call or email I can get ahold of someone who speaks full, fluent English as a first language and responds in a timely manner.

I am so sick of having my server go down (a dedicated server by the way) and then having them take hours to get it back up.

This is driving me absolutely bonkers and it seems to be the case every single time with these bigger hosting companies. If they start out as good, eventually some bigger company buys them out and that's when things go down hill. That's the case with Liquid Web now (who used to be good).

Any recommendations are appreciated.

you're probably better off getting your own unmanaged server and getting a server manager like matt w to manage it for you.
likely cheaper and better service.

I agree. Here I am paying $500 a month or so for a dedicated server and the guys who are "managing" it are seldom ever to be found. They respond slow (likely because they are on India time) and the customer support went from once good to suddenly ****ty.

Ok, but why your servers goes down at the point (frequently?), that you know at what time they are responding?

I don't know how big of a company they are, but I've been using Knownhost for over 10 years now, after trying countless hosts before that. These days I wouldn't even consider another host if I was in the market for a new server. I've used everything from their standard web hosting up to their professional VPS (which I currently have) and have absolutely zero complaints about any of them.

If it's not enough that their services are top tier, their customer support is, in my personal experience, unmatched. I've never had a time where I've reached out to customer support and it took more than 15-20 minutes for them to get back to me (usually quicker than that) and my issues have always been resolved very quickly.

I second this about Knownhost. I’m not s100% sure if they’re in the U.S. but I believe they are.

asmallorange.com used to be pretty good.

You could try Tier.net; they were hosting one of my projects for about 2 years, and were good for the cost. Support was generally always available, and they were very quick to respond.

You're paying way too much!

Knownhost is good but kinda pricy. I am actually using EthernetServers.com now and they seem to be good. I have ask for a few things here and there and they have been prompt and at $70 a year Im not mad about the price. Websites are my hobby. I have have used BuyShared now NameCrane for years but they are a budget hoster and I wanted speed so that when I purchased a year at Knownhost and a year at EthernetServers. I have been happy with both but went with the cheaper my renewal at knownhost was $143 for hosting a wordpress site.

Ethernet runs out of New Jersey and I plan on renewing. Basic hosting

Most people that run dedicated servers do not need dedicated servers especially with current technology like cloudlinux, nVMe storage, ect.

If you are interested in unmanaged servers and looking for someone to manage it for you, DM me. I have been managing servers for many clients and some very big forums.

If you want the best. Go with : https://www.linode.com/ -- Never faced a downtime with them.

It seems you have gone through the hell, I can feel how frustrated it can be.

We (Todo10) are a small company which provide tailored web services including web hosting. For example we've been hosting Vi-Control.net since 2017 and @creativeforge can let you know about the difficulties we've gone through and how responsible we have been.
Same has been the case of @HotRodCarts who has been a customer since 2017 too.

We are based in Argentina and 24/7 availability in case of any server issue through our mobile phones. No call centers or secretaries in the middle.
