Weird Behavior.... New post in between Old ones

  • I am seeing some weird behavior on my site... I have just posted a new comment today with an attachment but it gets stuck in between other old posts.

  • I have another site where i have installed Advanced BBCode Toolbar and Image Attachment Optimization which used to work perfectly (used for inserting image in post) but today it is showing some errors..

Any idea what could be the problem..? Would appreciate your help

That is usually caused by a change in the server clock. That can result in a newer post submitted before an older post, time-wise.

Ask your host or server person to fix the server clock. There is no easy way to fix existing out-of-order posts though.

this problem is hitting me hard.. again

I have one or two members who made new posts in a thread.. (the last message by shows their name and the time stamp) but when we enter into the thread.. there posts are nowhere to be found. This happened with only few people though and occasionally.

I have asked by host person and he must have fixed the server clock... could it be that this issue requires the server clock reset quite often.. if so how would i know when to reset or fix it?

Any help would be great

The server clock should not need resetting unless something is wrong with it.

I was on a server once with a bad motherboard where the clock kept changing. That was fun stuff.
