XF 2.2 Upgrades between non consecutive versions

Hello,

Are there any policy regarding upgrading Xenforo with non consecutive versions? In other words, when skipping from 2.2.X to 2.2.Y (with X and Y non consecutive), is the upgrade through the Automatic Installer available? And, the same question between 2.2.X to 2.3.Y, is the automatic upgrade an option or I can only do a manual update?

The upgrader will automatically step through each version - there is no difference doing it manually or using the built in upgrader in the ACP.
