XF 2.3 Upgrade 2.3.5 very slow at step 8

I decided to upgrade to 2.3.5 today, and I thought it would take minutes.

Well, it is taking its sweet sweet time. Right now it says

Upgrading... 2.3.5,  Step 8 (yyy/ xxxx)

And it is not stuck, but slowly going forward.

It took 6 minutes to move to

Upgrading... 2.3.5,  Step 8 (yyy / xxxx)

That means Step 8 will complete in 14 hours?

What exactly is happening here?

XF 2.3 Thread 'RM & ES stuck on Processing (2.3.5)'

The forums have successfully upgraded to 2.3.5 and then it prompt me to upgrade the RM and ES add on.

Both are stuck in the admin.php?tools/run-job



Tried to rebuild manually multiple times without success.

Am I doing something wrong here?

Thanks, but that is not it. There is just some code on Step 8 that is very slow.

Half an hour later I am at

Upgrading... 2.3.5, Step 8 (yyy/ xxxx)

This update completed successfully in 7 hours
