Trying to delete a bunch of old attachments, seems to be a max limit on this??

I am going through deleting crap from banned users, and it seems like I can only delete about 5 pages (of 20) before it just stops working.
Am I doing something wrong, or is there a set limit for some reason???
This happened to my partner as well, so it is not just me it is happening to.
please advise.

no actually, it limits my deletions (we have over 1.5 million posts now) to only 100 items, at 20 per time.
I wish there was a way to mass delete old stuff that is clogging my server...
