Have to say that the forums I've converted so far have been doing nicely with traffic. One thing I've noticed is that even if the number of new members doesn't increase at the same rate, I'm finding that members post more often since the system is user-friendly. I use a vB forum now and it feels like the dark ages. It was fine in its day, but that was a decade ago. One of the automobile forum groups I visit switched to XF earlier this year and I've participated a lot more, although I don't like all the features they hid due to the custom theme. But in a twist of fate, I found that when I visited a similar forum at Internet Brands two days ago, it was dying off...and still running vB 3.8!
I have one major forum upgrade (XF 1.5 to 2.1) to work on in the next week or two, then have two others lined up for work.
