Support multiple image sizes to save on user's data plans

I'd like to host 30-megapixel 100% JPEG photos, but this can be a drain on mobile data. So, I stepped it down to 8-megapixels for now. For here, data is a concern as some people start with 1 GB and stairway up or have 20 GB flat, the first being about $15/mo and the latter $50/mo. If the 1 GB user scrolls through the 30-megapixel gallery and they don't disable the internet in their phone at a certain point, it automatically steps them up to 2-5 GB and their bill will go to $25.

It would be nice if the media gallery could support multiple image sizes of the same image, i.e., mobile-friendly (S, and quite possibly the thumbnail generated as it'd fill most mobile devices), M (for tablets and PC since the width can't really be above 1000px on the default skin), and L (the full image that someone could save and take to a print shop to get a copy of as it'd be 8-megapixels to 26+).
