We have a default style property that uses the template type for style properties, so it's not that. I'm guessing your add-ons do something with callbacks and thus you were affected by the renderTemplate BC breaks that were documented here: https://xenforo.com/community/threads/backwards-compatibility-breaks-in-xenforo-2-0-0-beta-6.135486/
