XF 2.2 STMP issue

I am using MailGun. I have implemented the txt, mx, cname files into my host. Now I need to figure out how to get STMP going. I have entered the relevent info into the email options setting in the ACP. I sent a test email and nothing showed. Port: 587 and username and info

Do a test sending email from the XenForo ACP >> Tools >> Test outbound email then check the error message, post it here if needed.

I might as well bump this as I'm running into the same issue now xD

I've never had issues with using mailgun SMTP. However, I recently upgraded a xenforo installation from 1.5 to 2.2. Might I add, which is the same scenario that @camark08 had.

Another one of my forums is using the exact same settings just fine. However I'm not able to send emails with the this installation.

Gives the following:

++ Starting XF\Mail\SmtpTransport
!! Connection could not be established with host smtp.mailgun.org :stream_socket_client(): SSL operation failed with code 1. OpenSSL Error messages:
error:1416F086:SSL routines:tls_process_server_certificate:certificate verify failed (code: 0)
