Is there a setting that makes the page jump down to the last reply when clicking a thread?

Do you mean the first unread reply or the last post?

There are various ways of achieving either, depending on which link is clicked.

I guess in my case, first unread reply would be most useful, but if it's not too much trouble how to I also see the last post?

I want to be able to click on a thread and not have it always start at the beginning.

In the forum view, if you are logged in, clicking the title of emboldened thread (which have unread posts) will load the first unread post.

For threads with no unread posts, clicking the title will load the first post.

Clicking the date link will load the first post for either case.

Thanks....is there a setting to default the thread view to the first unread post? or does it only work the way you've outlined here?

I have a Next/Previous addon, so I toggle through threads for my coaching clients and it would be so great if it would auto-scroll to the first unread post when I go to each thread.

Yes, the answer was given here:

In the forum view, if you are logged in, clicking the title of emboldened thread (which have unread posts) will load the first unread post.

The same applies when you click on a thread title in New posts.

Loading the first unread message is default behaviour when clicking on a thread title. If it's not working like that when using the load next thread add-on then that is up to the add-ons developer to remedy.

Thanks. The functionality you're describing is when reading an unread thread. I'm wondering if I can get that behaviour for all threads, whether from my next/previous addon or native XF2.1 functionality.
