XF 2.2 Slow batch update users

I upgraded to the latest version of XF and I'm noticing that the batch update users feature is taking about 3 seconds per user to update. I have about 20k total users, so adding a secondary user group to each user would take nearly 17 hours. Is batch updating users supposed to take this long?

What is the exact update you are doing?

Does it take 3 seconds if you just do it to one or a handful of members?

Can you disable all add-ons and try again.

I can only think that an add-on or server config would be involved.

I am adding users to 1 group. I just did another test for a dozen users and it did take 3+ seconds per user to process again. I asked my server dev and he said the server is good, so maybe it is an add-on.
