XF 2.2 Site is down with PHP Error

Getting this error " PHP 7.0.0 or newer is required. 5.6.40 does not meet this requirement. Please ask your host to upgrade PHP" I am already running 7.2 Upon searching the error log I see a PHP Parse ERROR " syntax error unexpected XF. PHP On Line 315 user/local/cpanel/cgi-sys/ea-php56

Any Ideas as to what's causing this ?

For starters, you may have PHP 7.2 installed on your server but you are trying to run Xenforo under PHP 5.6.40.

If you have WHM/cPanel, you can change this yourself. Otherwise, or if you don't know how to do this, contact your host.

Checked that already and it's set at 7.2

If you are using a VPS, you may restart the Apache.

/admin.php?tools/phpinfo

Also if you can access here you can see the PHP version.

A Cloudlinux update overnight caused the issue, the PHP selector got disabled for quite a few accounts on the server, and the accounts were reverting to the default cPanel PHP, which is 5.6. Nothing I could have done in Cpanel. Thanks for the answer though. Much appreciated

If your cPanel has this module then you can set a specific version per domain.
