XF 2.0 revert back from https to http, can not login

Why on earth would you want to switch back to HTTP?

Anyway, did you try to clear cookies in your browser?
If you have existing cookies xf_user and xf_session those will be marked secure and thus most likely generate a conflict.

Did you have HSTS set when you converted over to HTTPS?
Have you tried with a browser other than Chrome?

I tried internet explorer edge in private mode
static files all in http but
https://my.domain.com/login/keep-alive and https://my.domain.com/job.php

I have clear HSTS settings from chrome://net-internals/#hsts
