You could remove it via SP or add the following to EXTRA.CSS

.message .newIndicator { display: none;}

Thanks Shelley. Tried adding exactly that to EXTRA.CSS and they are still showing up

.thread_view .message .newIndicator { display: none;}

Thanks Shelley That worked. They were making things look untidy as they intrude into the side bar and half disappear behind solid adverts etc. I think I can live without them. Thanks again
